Signature House by Wolfschmidt is a rare industrial building overlooking the Viesturdarzs park, carefully restored and reinterpreted for contemporary living.
Signature House transforms a historic industrial complex at the corner of Hanzas and Rūpniecības Streets into a contemporary residential and mixed-use building.
Located within Riga’s UNESCO-protected Historic Centre, the project carefully preserves the original brick façades, proportions, and urban rhythm. At the same time, it introduces modern materials, efficient engineering solutions, and thoughtfully designed apartments adapted to today’s way of living.

The historic building features red-brick façades, tall arched windows, and decorative details from its industrial past—giving the home a sense of character and authenticity.
Mid-20th-century additions add clean lines, large windows, and open proportions, creating bright, functional spaces.
The original layout is preserved, keeping the building’s familiar rhythm, while modern materials—warm plaster, natural stone, and textured surfaces—bring old and new together.

Signature House incorporates mid-century modern principles into its historic structure. Clean lines, functional proportions, and simple forms shape a rational, human-centered layout. Warm tones, wood, stone, and textured plaster bring comfort and a sense of timelessness.
The courtyard features 24 dedicated parking spaces for residents, including 12 equipped with electric vehicle charging stations.
Bicycle and micromobility parking is designed for both residents and visitors. Storage is available indoors within the entrance lobbies, as well as in covered outdoor pavilions and open racks for guests.
Entrance lobbies are designed as warm, welcoming spaces. The interior palette combines light neutral tones with textured surfaces, natural stone, and wood. Details and fixtures reference the site’s industrial heritage, using ceramic and glass elements inspired by the historic Wolfschmidt factory.
Pet wash stations are located in entrance areas.
The project includes three street-facing commercial spaces located along Hanzas Street and facing Viesturdārzs Park on Rūpniecības Street. One of the premises has already been acquired and will house a health and beauty centre, offering a convenient service for residents.
The remaining spaces are planned for cafés, restaurants, or small boutique concepts. These venues will bring everyday comfort within easy reach—making daily life more pleasant and effortless for residents.
